Sustainable Fashion

Proudly made in Bangladesh

One of our founders has a deep personal connection to Bangladesh through his network of family and friends. His lifelong affiliation with the country and involvement in the family business have equipped us with the tools and expertise to bring Tanzform to life. We collaborate with carefully selected partners, including family-owned companies such as AKH Group and SH Textiles. Their factories, equipped with cutting-edge technology and an experienced workforce, ensure top-tier quality for our dancewear.

For a long time, ‘Made in Bangladesh’ was synonymous with “fast fashion.” However, in recent years, the country has undergone a sustainability movement that has dramatically transformed the garment industry.

Maintaining this crucial sector is of utmost importance. Not only does it employ millions of workers, but the economy also relies heavily on the garment industry. The areas surrounding the factories are filled with micro-businesses, such as rickshaw drivers and food vendors, serving the employees. This sector is the backbone of the country, and we are proud to contribute to its maintenance and support the positive changes and development it undergoes.

Our commitment to Sustainability - Upcycling

There are approximately 3,800 garment factories in Bangladesh, leading to a significant amount of leftover fabric due to buyers disappearing, miscalculations, or other unforeseen events.

We primarily source leftover fabrics from markets in the suburbs of Dhaka that specialize in selling unused fabric. This way we support local markets and eliminate the need for additional fabric production or dyeing, promoting upcycling.

Additionally, we use leftover fabric from factories, particularly for basic colors like black or white. We quality-check their available stock and incorporate it into our projects.

As a result, our releases are typically in smaller quantities.

For special items where leftover fabric isn't an option, we ensure the cotton is organic and the fabric is of high, thick quality. This guarantees that our final pieces are exceptionally durable and made to last.
