A Day on Weserstraße: Berlin's Best Street for Clothing & Records
If you only have one street to explore in Berlin, make it Weserstraße. Tucked into Neukölln, this stretch has quietly become one of the city's best corners for crate-digging, coffee, vintage shopping, good food and all within a ten-minute walk of each other. And as of recently, it's now our home on number 166. Here's how you could spend a full day on it.
Morning: Coffee at Companion
Start the day at Companion Tea & Coffee (Weserstr. 166), a minimalist café built around a striking terrazzo bar and a two-group La Marzocco machine, with a menu that leans as heavily into tea as it does espresso. Grab a flat white or ask about their direct-sourced teas, and take a few minutes in the sun to plan the rest of the day while enjoying a home made banana cake or choco cookie.
Vintage Digging: Juno Juno & Loppis
Fueled up, head straight into Weserstraße's other specialty: vintage clothing. Juno Juno (Weserstr. 165) leans eclectic and a little chaotic in the best way: expect designer and Y2K pieces sitting side by side, from Kenzo kimonos to studded Moschino denim. A few doors down, Loppis (Weserstr. 167) offers the calmer counterpoint: a bright, airy space with a smaller, more tightly edited collection built around timeless, wearable pieces rather than statement finds.
Together, the two shops cover most of what you'd want from a vintage morning, one for the hunt, one for the sure thing.
New Home, Vintage records & Tanzform
Right next door to Companion literally, sharing the same address at Weserstr. 166 is our own storefront. Tanzform has just opened its first physical home after years of building this brand online and on the dance floor. Stop in for the latest clothing drops, flip through our own vinyl releases and dig through our second-hand vinyl selection. We're not just selling our own catalog, we're buying and stocking used records from the house/techno scene in Berlin as well. If you've followed us for the music or the clothing, this is your first chance to see both in one place. We're brand new to this block, but the neighborhood itself is exactly where we've always felt home.
Lunch Break at Stella
Right around the corner, Stella is a small, fresh salad and comfort-food spot rotating wildcard salads, hearty warm combos, and a couple of desserts worth saving room for. It's fast, mostly vegetarian and vegan, and exactly the kind of low-key lunch that lets you get straight back to the Weser experience afterward.
More Vinyl at Pastiche
With the clothing covered, it's time to get back into the crates. Pastiche (Weserstr. 46) is a hybrid café, record shop, and Hi-Fi listening venue in one bright storefront, with a genuinely well-curated selection of jazz, ambient, world, and experimental vinyl including releases from Pastiche's own in-house label. Come back after dark and the same space transforms into a listening room, with racks folded away and a custom sound system taking over.
If you've still got digging energy left, it's worth the short detour off Weserstraße onto neighboring Weichselstraße for Sound Metaphors, a record shop by DJs, for DJs. It's built a reputation as a serious stop for second-hand techno, house, disco, and dub, with a particular strength in 90s electronic music and small selection of merch.
Dinner at Beuster Bar
Before the last stop, get a proper dinner in at Beuster Bar (Weserstr. 32) a German-French bistro that's been a Weserstraße fixture for over a decade. Green and white tiles, an old 1980s counter, and a menu built around grilled octopus, moules frites, and a steak tartare regulars swear by. It's equally set up for a relaxed sit-down dinner or just pulling up a stool at the bar, which makes it an easy, no-fuss way to refuel before heading out for the night.
Last stop at Tier
Close the day where a lot of Weserstraße regulars do: Tier (Weserstr. 42), just around the corner from Pastiche. It's a small, atmospheric cocktail bar with a hunting-lodge-meets-art-deco feel, dim lighting, and a rotating seasonal menu alongside well-made classics. A fitting last stop after a day spent digging through records and racks: sit back, order something off-menu if you're feeling adventurous, and let the bartenders do the rest.
Closing the Loop
